“She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).(Matthew 1:21–23)
Have you ever had the chance to meet or talk with someone famous in the media or in politics? Maybe it happened by coincidence, but the truth is that this isn’t very common. Generally speaking, famous people don’t make it easy for others to approach them. That’s just how things tend to work in the world: people with status, fame, authority, or great wealth are often inaccessible and out of reach.
If there were a need for personal contact with an artist, an authority figure, or someone very famous, it would be quite difficult to achieve. One would first have to check their availability with advisors, secretaries, producers, insurers, and so on.
But—hallelujah!—the logic of the Kingdom of God is very different. The almighty God came to meet us. He who can sustain the entire universe in his hands laid aside his glory in order to come and save us. Exalted above heaven and earth, Jesus Christ came to us in person. He is God with us! And best of all, we don’t need intermediaries to approach Jesus. No human representative, angel, or religion is required to speak with and be with Christ. He is fully human and fully divine, and he desires a relationship with us. Jesus took the first step… go and meet him!
He came!

A prayer:Lord God, thank you so much for sending us Jesus. He became flesh and lived in this world out of love for us, to bring us to you. Thank you, Father, because your Kingdom is one of life and love, and you do not despise humble people who seek you with a sincere heart. May I receive Christ every day of my life, in my home and wherever I go. Stay with us, Lord, now and always. Amen.
